Job Summary
Travel AV Installation Technician responsible for installing, wiring, testing, and commissioning audio-visual systems on job sites across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Key duties include receiving, inventorying, assembling, installing, terminating cables and components, drilling in drywall/concrete, performing light construction tasks, troubleshooting cabling, and providing direction to other installers. Must lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights on ladders or lifts, and travel up to 25 days per month. Requires CTS certification (or ability to obtain within six months) with CTS-I certification within six months after CTS, plus valid driver’s license, background check, motor vehicle review, and drug test. Strong team collaboration and communication skills, proficiency with common office software, and comfort using hand/power tools are essential. Required Qualifications
- Prior AV experience
- CTS certification or the ability to achieve certification within six months of start date
- Ability to achieve CTS-I certification six months following CTS certification
- Travel ability on regular/constant basis with long/unusual work hours
- Criminal background check, motor vehicle review and drug test prior to start
- Strong communication skills and experience working on teams
- Computer proficiency with Google, Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with hand tools, small power tools and industrial tools
- Ability to learn new tasks quickly
- Ability to make important decisions under tight timelines in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly and approachable demeanor
- Valid driver’s license with fewer than two citations in last two years
