Job Summary
Full-time trauma surgeon to join a high-volume Level II Trauma Center team (6 physicians, 12 APPs) in Des Moines, IA. Responsibilities include full-scope trauma care: operating room, rounding, clinic, and critical care with 16-bed CSICU co-managed with Pulmonary and Critical Care; robotics incorporated into acute care surgery; unrestricted shared night EGS back-up call; EPIC EMR; 15 shifts per month (days/nights) and one clinic day per week. Participation in General Surgery Residency adjunct faculty; recruitment incentive and moving allowance provided; CME and malpractice tail coverage included. J1 and H1B visa applicants encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications
- Fellowship-trained trauma surgeon
- MD or DO medical degree
- Board-certified or board-eligible in surgery
- Experience in trauma and acute surgical care
