Job Summary
Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Acute Care Surgeon with fellowship training in Surgical Critical Care/Trauma Surgery to join the Division of Acute Care Surgery at South Shore University Hospital on Long Island. ACS-verified Level I Trauma Center with an established team of Acute Care Surgeons, dedicated APP support, and involvement in an associated General Surgery Residency. Rotation through Trauma, Acute Care Surgery, and Surgical ICU services; academic appointment through Hofstra/Northwell; opportunity to contribute to program growth and scholarly activity in trauma care, education, and research. Location: Bay Shore or Islip, NY (Long Island) with in-person clinical duties.
Required Qualifications
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Acute Care Surgeon
- Fellowship training in Surgical Critical Care/Trauma Surgery
- Academic appointment through Hofstra/Northwell School of Medicine
- Experience with trauma, emergency general surgery, and surgical ICU services
