Trauma Registrar

Abstract and enter data from patient records into the Trauma Patient Registry, applying AIS and ICD-10 injury coding to ensure database integrity. Assign and score injuries using the AIS and ICD scoring system, then review, correct, and validate trauma registry reports prior to submission to state and national registries. Collaborate with administrative teams to evaluate injury trends for prevention initiatives and educate nursing staff on trauma documentation policies. Participate as an integral member of the Trauma Quality Improvement team and prepare data for presentation at regional meetings. Requires self-motivation, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in AIS and ICD-10 coding.
