Trauma Registrar - Certified (Temp)

Performs case coding and abstracting of trauma patient records under ACS Standards; maintains the trauma database and provides statistics as requested. Participates in quality improvement and cost containment strategies, including M&M and MAC preparation. Speak and read English at a proficient level. Proficient with standard office equipment and MS Office (Windows, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint). Requires keyboarding and general computer skills within the first two weeks. Follows Palomar Health policies and contributes to its mission and quality commitments. Minimum education: High School Diploma and/or combination of education and experience; Minimum experience: 2-3 years coding experience; Required certification: Certified Trauma Registrar.
