Job Summary
Responsible for abstracting physiological and anatomical data on trauma patients for inclusion in a trauma data collection system, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data. Requires proficiency in ICD-10 coding specific to injuries, ability to analyze detailed information, and familiarity with various trauma data collection systems. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of trauma registry experience, experience with electronic health records, and current certifications such as CSTR or CAISS.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years (current) of trauma registry experience
- Experience with electronic health records
- Experience with NTDS trauma data definitions
- CSTR or CAISS certification
- Experience with one or more trauma data collection systems (e.g. TQIP, DI COLLECTOR, TraumaOne, Trauma Base, TSE, etc.)
Desired Qualifications
- RHIA, RHIT, RN, LPN preferred
- Experience abstracting trauma data for pediatric and/or ABA burn patients is desired

- Client will only consider applicants with current 5+ years of Trauma Registrar Experience
