Job Summary
Facilitate obtaining program requirements for American College of Surgeons Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center verification through quality assessments, data analysis, and care standard development. Oversee the written Trauma Performance Improvement and Patient Safety plan, including quality indicators, complications tracking, and protocol compliance. Coordinate performance improvement aspects with departments, managers, and physicians while completing case reviews to address care variances and complications. Participate in monthly interprofessional Trauma PIPS Committees and present outcomes to organizational-wide continuous improvement projects. Requires 5 years of trauma clinical experience, BSN, and current New Jersey RN licensure. Salary ranges from $37 to $61 hourly.
Required Qualifications
- RN
- 5 years trauma clinical experience
- strong background in trauma/ critical care
- Prior involvement with Quality Improvement and Outcomes management
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- BSN
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey
- Membership and active participation in professional organizations such as American Association of Critical Care Nurses, Society of Trauma Nurses, and/or American Trauma Society
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, MS 365/ TEAMS and Excel
- Ability to work independently/ Self-Directed with minimal supervision
- Completion of Trauma Outcomes and Performance Improvement Course within 6 months of hire
