Trauma Geriatrician

Job Summary
Assess and treat geriatric trauma patients while providing consultative advice to treating physicians and fostering collaboration with trauma attendings. Develop, review, and update policies and procedures for geriatric trauma care, ensuring effective communication across medical, nursing, and administrative staff. Monitor patient compliance and performance through periodic assessments, actively participate in Trauma Program Process Improvement and Patient Safety committees, and attend monthly CQI and bi-monthly Operations Oversight meetings. Engage in community partnerships, support outreach and marketing activities, and contribute to geriatric trauma research.
Required Qualifications
- Approved residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Board eligible or board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine or the American Board of Family Medicine
- Certification added qualification in Geriatric Medicine
- Medical license in Oregon
- MD or DO
- Current BLS from the American Heart Association
