Job Summary

Assist in scheduling operative cases, secure inventory, and consult surgical teams on Smith Nephew instrumentation and implants within your assigned territory. Become a technical expert in the Orthopaedic Trauma portfolio through structured trainings while building relationships with surgeons, Key Opinion Leaders, and hospital staff to drive revenue and meet quotas. Develop an effective territory business plan to exceed sales targets, ensuring product availability meets customer and patient needs. This role requires a self-motivated professional to work untraditional hours, travel 2-4 overnights monthly, and complete healthcare facility credentialing.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • A valid driver's license applicable to current residence
  • Must be able to travel within designated sales territory with 2-4 overnights a month
  • Must be able to travel infrequently nationally for events and conferences
  • Must successfully complete the credentialing process and comply with the requirements of healthcare facilities
  • Must adhere to any established vaccine protocols
  • Must be able to assimilate and learn a high level of technical information as it relates to surgery and procedures
  • Must be able to build positive relationships with surgeons, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), hospital staff, and co-workers
  • Must be team-oriented
  • Must be highly attentive to detail
  • Must be flexible to work untraditional hours
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Must be committed to driving the business forward by taking strategic responsibility for their area
  • Must be able to work with customers to deliver the best solutions for patients

  • Must be able to develop an effective territory business plan to generate revenue and meet/exceed quota

  • Must be able to observe and consult the surgical team on Smith Nephew instrumentation and implants
  • Must be able to complete the logistical requirement associated with operative cases
  • Must be able to build rapport with the Sales Reps and leadership in the territory and region
  • Must be able to enhance access to customers
  • Must be able to provide data-driven, trusted solutions
  • Must be able to generate revenue and meet/exceed quota
  • Must be able to work relentlessly to become proficient in joint reconstruction
