Job Summary
Coordinate trauma and stroke care delivery by monitoring national and state trends, developing policies, and implementing performance improvement initiatives. Respond to activations during work hours, serve as a consultant to providers, and oversee adherence to hospital and regulatory standards. Manage the trauma registry, analyze data for strategic planning, and facilitate multidisciplinary review meetings. Plan clinical education, orientation, and community outreach programs focused on injury prevention. Collaborate with medical directors and administration to ensure efficient, cost-effective care while maintaining compliance with American College of Surgeons and Joint Commission guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Current Alabama or Multistate RN licensure
- TNCC required
- 2 years' experience as a registered nurse
- Must be able to read, write legibly, speak, and comprehend English
- Must be able to use computers, electronic mail, telephone and texting
- Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
- Must be able to exert up to 30 pounds of force frequently
- Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly
- Must be able to tolerate prolonged periods of standing and walking
- Must be able to reach reasonable distances in any direction
- Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, bend, sit and stoop
- Must have the ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull and carry objects
- Must possess stamina to provide 24-hour management for assigned area(s) of responsibility
- Hearing and vision must be normal or corrected to within normal range
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Health Related Field preferred
- Specialty experience preferred in applied area
