Job Summary
Provide trauma surgery coverage for a Level IV Trauma Center by evaluating and managing trauma patients in the emergency department and inpatient settings. Perform operative and non-operative trauma care as indicated while collaborating closely with emergency medicine, anesthesia, ICU, and hospital staff. Participate in call coverage during assigned shifts and deliver timely, safe, and compliant patient care in alignment with SAMGI and hospital standards. This shift-based model offers predictable scheduling with competitive per-shift compensation, supporting surgeons in a team-based care environment focused on quality outcomes and long-term hospital partnerships.
Required Qualifications
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Trauma Surgeon
- MD or DO
- Prior trauma experience
- ATLS
- Active California medical license or ability to obtain
- Ability to obtain hospital privileges and credentialing
- Ability to obtain hospital privileges and credentialing
