Trash Truck Driver - Front Load

Job Summary
Front Load trash truck driver responsible for operating a front-end load solid waste/recycling collection truck on assigned routes, servicing commercial containers (2-8 yards), and delivering to disposal facilities. Requires adherence to DOT regulations, completing pre/post-trip inspections, maintaining route sheets and documentation, and using FEL controls to securely load and unload waste. Must communicate with dispatch, maintain safety and service standards, and demonstrate customer service while ensuring compliance with safety procedures and regulatory requirements. Requires a Texas CDL (Class A or B), DOT medical card, and ability to meet physical demands and weather conditions. High school diploma or GED, with preference for at least 3 years of driving experience on Class A/B vehicles.
Required Qualifications
- Possess a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- DOT medical card
- Pass drug screen and criminal background check
- Successfully complete and pass a written and road test
- Meet all Federal & State DOT requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 3 years of satisfactory driving experience with Class A or B vehicles (preferred)
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic computer/tablet skills
