Job Summary
Operate and drive a trash truck safely and efficiently on designated routes; perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; collect and dispose of waste materials from residential and commercial customers; communicate effectively with dispatch and report any issues; adhere to local, state, and federal waste-disposal regulations; maintain a clean truck; assist in training new drivers; provide excellent customer service while interacting with the public during pickups.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or B license with a clean driving record
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in waste industry
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic
