Job Summary
Transporter provides routine daily transporting services for residents within the facility or other medical facilities, including determining patient name, destination, and mode of travel per instructions; assists patients in walking or with a wheelchair to prevent accidents; operates mechanical, hydraulic, and manual lifts on vans and buses; maintains the interior and exterior of fleet vehicles and reports any operational concerns; ensures that nursing care is provided with privacy; joins a caregiver-family team to support Rehabilitation, Assisted Living, Memory Care and Skilled Nursing Care.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- High School Graduate/GED preferred
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies
