Job Summary
Transport patients and move equipment across departments (wheelchairs, transcart, stretcher or bed) to diagnostic testing, clinics, and other areas; assist with patient transfers to prevent falls; communicate effectively with nursing staff and coworkers; deliver room furnishings as needed; work 3rd shift (10:30 pm–7:00 am) with holidays and backup call; train and orient new transporters; support patient safety and department performance through timely transports and clear handoffs.
Required Qualifications
- BLS - Basic Life Support or Instructor (AHA) within 90 days
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent education preferred
- One year of customer service, patient transportation or nursing aid experience preferred
