Job Summary
Transport patients to and from the nursing floor to Radiology or other ancillary departments; pick up laundry and restock linens; maintain cleanliness of transportation equipment; perform patient tracking and follow isolation practices; assist and train students during Transport rotation; work as a team to meet departmental needs; communicate accurately with patients, families, and co-workers at handoffs; adhere to safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions; strong communication and critical thinking skills required; High School Diploma or equivalent strongly preferred with related medical-setting experience; Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
- Relevant experience to be considered in lieu of diploma
- Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support, in accordance with the American Heart Association required
