Job Summary
Responsible for safely transporting patients, medical equipment, and supplies within the healthcare facility. Coordinates transportation requests and schedules to ensure timely and efficient service. Assists patients with boarding and disembarking from transport vehicles and collaborates with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to prioritize transport needs. Handles equipment and specimens with proper care, adhering to infection control and safety protocols, while maintaining professionalism and customer service.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Experience in transportation, preferably in a healthcare or customer service environment 1-2 years preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to follow directions, work independently, and demonstrate sound judgment
- Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols related to patient transport and handling of medical equipment
