Job Summary
As a Transporter at DDI, you will operate DDI vehicles while safely transporting individuals with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include conducting pre-trip inspections, maintaining a clean vehicle, following all safety guidelines, and ensuring the individuals are received by a responsible adult. Required qualifications include a valid NYS Driver's License, a minimum of 18 months driving experience, and specific certifications to be obtained within 90 days of hire. No DWI or DUI charges in the last three years and a clean driving record with respect to accidents and violations are also mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- NYS Drivers License without restrictions for driving performance
- Not less than 18 months experience as a licensed driver
- No DWI or DUI within the last 3 years
- Six or fewer accumulated points (4-6 points will require DD Course completion within 90 days of hire)
- Three or fewer accident and moving violations (combined) within previous 12 month period
- CPR, SCIP, First Aid Certification within 90 days of hire
- Ability to read, understand, and follow safety guidelines
