Job Summary
Under direct supervision of the Director or designee, perform duties directly involved with transporting patients to and from departments and units throughout the hospital. Interact with nursing personnel to assure continuance of care during the transport process, assuming full responsibility for patients, equipment, and functions. Must be physically capable of lifting and moving patients while maintaining good communication with patients, visitors, and co-workers. This role operates on a 20-hour weekly schedule, including Saturday, Sunday, and Monday day shifts from 6:00 AM, within CoxHealth's six-hospital system serving southwest Missouri and northern Arkansas.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be physically capable of lifting and moving patients
- Must have good communication skills with patients, visitors, and co-workers
- Saturday, Sunday, Monday Shift 6:00AM Work Shift (Day Shift)
