Transporter - Central Transport - Flex 0.5 (40 hrs biweekly) (69640)

Transports patients and equipment within a hospital setting, assisting patients in and out of taxis, ambulances, cars, and helicopters, and moving them to and from treatment areas and operating rooms. Delivers laboratory specimens, transports equipment, and handles deceased patients per protocols while maintaining confidentiality and patient safety. Uses A.I.D.E.T. in all patient interactions, complies with RQI, and performs additional duties as needed. Requires strong communication, independent work capability, good body mechanics, time management, and the ability to function in a dynamic environment. Student transporter duties include enrollment in college or technical training. BLS certification required; high school diploma or GED accepted for entry.
