Job Summary
Oversee daily operations for the yard, helpdesk, and driver teams by reviewing performance, ensuring DOT compliance, and resolving driver issues. Manage ELD performance with the coordinator, verify up-to-date logs, and coordinate time off requests. Analyze driver performance to provide recommendations, review backhaul assignments, and adjust routing or delivery plans. Address open issues in the communication log daily and assist the Transportation Manager with supervisory responsibilities, including directing dispatchers and resolving personnel matters. Participate in the site's on-call rotation. Schedule runs Tuesday through Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in transportation or related role
- Minimum of one (1) year in a supervisory capacity
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated organizational skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail and accuracy with commitment to meeting deadlines
- Good computer skills including MS Office Suite, scheduling software, and routing software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of driver safety and DOT compliance requirements
- Ability to motivate and develop employees
- Associate's degree with a minimum of two (2) years' experience in transportation or related role with a minimum of one (1) year in a supervisory capacity; or equivalent combination of education and experience
