Job Summary
Coordinate daily operations for the transport unit by supervising drivers and driver assistants, managing manpower planning, and assigning responsibilities to ensure efficient service between the kitchen and aircraft. Maintain quality production standards by checking dock areas for equipment compliance, verifying correct aircraft catering, and ensuring all teams adhere to safety procedures and regulatory requirements. Oversee workflow balancing, conduct regular kitchen checks to prevent equipment loss, and manage preventive maintenance schedules while preparing required management reports on attendance and labor. Provide performance evaluations, coaching, and corrective actions to a staff of up to 80 employees, ensuring compliance with union agreements and wage policies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years supervisory experience working in a high volume, manufacturing, food production, and restaurant or catering environment
- Current or previous labor relations experience
- Strong and effective leadership skills
- Ability to successfully manage a staff of 30+ hourly employees
- Ability to train others
- Ability to give negative and positive feedback to employees on a daily basis
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks without losing focus on priorities
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication and leadership skills
- Innovative mindset with ability to make changes to the operation as needed
- Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Ability to obtain ServSafe Certification
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish/Chinese Mandarin/Vietnamese/Hindi/Polish
- Ability to express oneself clearly and effectively when speaking and writing to individuals and groups
- Listening attentively and ensuring communication is understood by all parties involved

Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree
- Current or previous labor relations experience is a plus
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish/Chinese Mandarin/Vietnamese/Hindi/Polish a plus
- ServSafe Certified preferred
