Job Summary
Supervise drivers and driver assistants to coordinate services between the kitchen and drivers, controlling dock activities and ensuring trucks leave according to scheduled departures. Maintain quality production standards by checking equipment, verifying catering accuracy for aircraft and flights, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures and regulatory requirements. Manage daily manpower planning, assign workstations, and determine staffing needs for shifts while balancing work flow and addressing late flights or equipment changes. Prepare management reports on attendance, HACCP, and labor, and conduct regular kitchen checks to ensure no equipment is left behind. Train employees on proper work procedures, coach staff on performance, and liaise with HR and maintenance staff to address repair issues and union compliance.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years supervisory experience working in a high volume, manufacturing, food production, and restaurant or catering environment
- Current or previous labor relations experience
- Strong and effective leadership skills
- Ability to successfully manage a staff of 30+ hourly employees
- Ability to train others
- Ability to give negative and positive feedback to employees on a daily basis
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks without losing focus on priorities
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication and leadership skills
- Innovative mindset with ability to make changes to the operation as needed
- Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- ServSafe Certification
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish/Chinese Mandarin/Vietnamese/Hindi/Polish
Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree
- Current or previous labor relations experience is a plus
