Job Summary
Build strong relationships with drivers while guiding their professional growth and maintaining high standards for safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Create weekly driver schedules and oversee daily local dispatching for pickups and backhauls. Assist drivers with GeoTab, EPOD, and Hootboard tools, and handle after-hours problem solving. Ensure full compliance with OSHA, DOT, and federal regulations. Occasionally run delivery routes when needed. This role reports to the Director of Transportation and focuses on fostering a supportive, safety-focused culture for drivers.
Required Qualifications
- Foodservice delivery experience or equivalent relatable industry experience
- Active Class A CDL
- Valid DOT Medical card
- FMCSA Clearinghouse clearance
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years in the field or in a related area
- Suitable combination of education and relevant experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively and professionally
- Ability to provide exceptional service, both internally and externally
- Exemplary customer service skills
- Concise and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Courtesy to all they encounter
- Professionalism in interpersonal relationships
