Transportation Supervisor overseeing district operations with responsibilities that include recruiting, training, evaluations, and personnel decisions; managing a vehicle maintenance program, purchasing and bidding procedures; ensuring compliance with state transportation laws; strong managerial skills to handle labor/management issues and data/reporting; using routing software and Microsoft Word/Excel; maintaining punctuality and reliability in operations.
Required Qualifications
- School transportation supervisory experience including recruitment, training, evaluations and personnel employment decisions preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills and motivational techniques.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess the ability and experience for operating a vehicle maintenance program including purchasing, bidding procedures and knowledge of all state laws regarding school transportation.
- Strong managerial and organizational skills including the ability to deal with labor/management issues, the ability to compile and summarize data, knowledge of insurance, and the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Possess knowledge and skills with computers including routing software, Word and Excel.
- Demonstrate a record of punctuality and reliability.
