Job Summary
Transportation Supervisor responsible for daily pre-departure support including truck loading, manifest checks, transporter quality checks, and weekly tailgate safety meetings; monitor and support driver routing to maximize productivity; maintain strong communication between plant operations, sales, and field service; conduct daily route debriefs to resolve service issues and improve customer satisfaction; manage driver performance and evaluations; coordinate vehicle maintenance and ensure safety and regulatory compliance; control operational costs by managing headcount and overtime to optimize driver performance; role requires CDL and knowledge of DOT regulations and safety practices in a healthcare waste management context.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years in a management or supervisory role
- Clean 10-year DMV record (dated within the last 30 days)
- Valid DOT medical certificate (or ability to obtain one)
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, log books, and safe cargo handling practice
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, or flex hours based on operational needs
- Must be able to reliably commute to our Tampa, FL facility
