Job Summary
Transportation Supervisor (Berkeley Heights Public Schools) oversees daily operations of the Transportation Department, reports to the School Business Administrator/Board Secretary, and supports efficient functioning of bus routing, licensing compliance, and workforce management. Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, a valid New Jersey School Transportation Supervisor Certificate, 3-5 years public school transportation experience, knowledge of state/federal licensing procedures for school vehicles, CDL with passenger and air brake endorsements preferred, and proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel/G-Suite with Traversa routing software familiarity; must pass criminal history clearance and prove eligibility to work in the U.S. Salary per negotiated contract.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent job experience
- New Jersey School Transportation Supervisor Certificate
- 3-5 years public school transportation experience
- Knowledge of state and federal licensing procedures for school vehicles
- CDL - passenger and air brake endorsements preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, G-Suite, and transportation routing software Traversa experience preferred
- Criminal History Clearance
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or employment authorization
