Job Summary
Transportation Supervisor oversees the wheelchair transportation department for PACE participants, providing strategic and operational leadership to ensure safe, efficient and dignified transport. Responsible for daily routing, supervising staff, safety/compliance initiatives, coordinating with scheduling/dispatch and center-based departments to support data accuracy and high-quality service, and leading on-site drivers. Works with center teams to align transportation with care planning, participates in IDT and care planning meetings, maintains participant records, and contributes to monthly/quarterly/annual reporting. Requires strong leadership, scheduling, dispatch coordination, knowledge of HIPAA/CMS regulations, and experience in senior care or related human services; must have a valid driver’s license, and possess or be eligible for CDL with passenger endorsement; able to work on-road locally and manage multiple tasks with excellent communication.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Valid state driver’s license or commercial driver’s license
- Commercial driver license with passenger endorsement preferred
- One-year experience with the elderly required
- 3+ years of direct transportation, dispatch, and logistics
- Previous supervisory or management experience required
- Experience in Senior Care or related human services industry
- Extensive knowledge of surrounding areas streets, neighborhoods, and traffic patterns
- Bilingual language ability preferred
- Strong leadership and staff development background
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and any shift
- Ability to learn and utilize dispatching and transportation software systems (OCS, MS Teams, Rippling)
- Must be computer literate with Word, Excel and database management
- Must possess scheduling and organizational accuracy and attention to detail
- Final pay rate is determined based on qualifications, experience, and performance
