Job Summary
Substitute Bus Driver for Tri-Valley Heartland Express; safely transports passengers on scheduled routes, operates wheelchair lift, enforces passenger policies, collects fares, and maintains daily logs. Responsibilities include promoting professional public relations, mentoring new drivers, performing pre-trip/post-trip inspections, reporting delays and incidents, and ensuring compliance with MN/DOT regulations. Requires strong customer service, safe driving, and ability to work with the transportation team to maintain reliable service; includes training and certification activities to maintain eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of driving experience
- Valid Driver's License (Bus Driver I)
- Valid Commercial Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement (Bus Driver II)
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background search requirements
- MVR acceptable upon hire and annually
- Medical examination card
- Age minimum 21 (if required to drive across state line)
- CDL with passenger endorsement training/ELDT
