Job Summary
The Substitute Bus Driver position is responsible for safely transporting passengers, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining bus cleanliness and operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, assisting passengers, and handling fare collection. The role requires excellent customer service skills, a valid driver's license, and a minimum of three years of driving experience. New drivers may receive training support to obtain the necessary certifications. This is a part-time position with hourly pay starting at $21.00.
Required Qualifications
- Current Medical Examination Card
- Minimum age of 21 years if required to drive bus across state line
- Pass pre-employment drug screening
- Acceptable MVR results
- Minimum of three years of driving experience
- Valid Driver's License or Commercial Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement depending on classification
- Pass Tri-Valley Transportation Driver Certification training
