Job Summary
The Transportation Structural Lead Project Engineer at Wright-Pierce will be responsible for technical design of bridge and ancillary highway structures, including large culverts. The role involves leading team members in developing engineering calculations, creating reports, plans, specifications, and estimates, and supervising multi-discipline project teams. Essential functions include bridge condition inspections, load rating calculations, and providing construction observation. Candidates should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with a commitment to continual learning and detail-oriented work.
Required Qualifications
- 8 – 12 years’ experience focused on design of bridges and transportation structures
- Professional Engineer License required
- B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or similar
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with structural engineering for marine and dam infrastructure
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Bentley Open Roads / Open Bridge Designer, AutoCAD, Mathcad, and Bluebeam
- Working knowledge of structural analysis programs and bridge design software: Bentley Civil WorkSuite, AASHTOWare, LARSA, STAAD, or similar FEM software
