Job Summary
Operate single, tandem, or multi-axle trucks to transport agronomy and energy products, crop production inputs, equipment, and supplies to and from company and customer locations, ensuring timely, safe deliveries while adhering to specified schedules. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, including pre-trip safety checks and monitoring fluid levels, tires, and brakes, while maintaining accurate driving logs, delivery records, and compliance documentation. Safely load and unload cargo, secure vehicles, and plan efficient routes considering traffic and weather conditions. Obtain a valid CDL with required endorsements within six months. Full-time non-exempt role with a pay range of $15–$23/hour, including potential overtime and bonuses.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Basic mechanical skills for vehicle maintenance and inspections
- Knowledge of safe handling and transportation of crop production input and energy products, including hazardous materials
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and agricultural equipment
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional demeanor
- High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with teammates at all levels
- Ability to identify and address issues in a proactive manner
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and teammates
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information
- Demonstrated core competencies, including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision-making, and skill development
- Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with required endorsements (e.g., HazMat, Tanker)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to work hours other than those considered normal at various times throughout the year to meet deadlines and demands
- Ability and willingness to participate in required training, including education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training related to the position's requirements
- Ability to travel independently and stay overnight as needed
