Job Summary
The Transportation Specialist operates commercial vehicles to transport agronomic crop production input and energy products to designated locations from Illiopolis, IL, ensuring safety, compliance with regulations, and timely deliveries. Responsibilities include loading/unloading products, verifying delivery orders, maintaining vehicle condition, performing routine inspections, and coordinating repairs as needed. Maintains records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage; adheres to federal, state, and local regulations and safety policies, including proper handling and transporting hazardous materials. Provides excellent customer service and clear communication with customers. Requires a valid CDL with endorsements (HazMat, Tanker) within six months, a clean driving record, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in agronomy or energy transportation is preferred. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work outdoors and as part of a team are essential.
