Job Summary
Drive community residents to and from scheduled destinations including doctor appointments, grocery shopping, and recreational events. Monitor residents' overall well-being and report status changes to a supervisor. Maintain community vehicles safely and efficiently while ensuring Driver and Motor Vehicle policy guidelines are followed. Train CLC drivers on classroom instruction and vehicle orientation as needed. Assist with planned activities such as retail shopping. Requires a Colorado MVR in good standing, knowledge of ADA vehicles, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Interact frequently with residents, family members, and visitors in a warm, welcoming environment at Christian Living Communities | Cappella Living Solutions.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of streets in Denver-metro area and ability to navigate to directed destinations
- Knowledge of ADA vehicles, securing required safety equipment
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language
- Must possess a Colorado MVR in good standing
- Position requires moderate physical work by lifting, pushing (wheel chairs or other equipment), or pulling objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently
- May be exposed to mechanical hazards from operating company vehicles
- Sits, stands, bends and moves intermittently during working hours
- Is subject to frequent interruptions
- Interacts with residents, family members, visitors frequently
Desired Qualifications
- Six (6) months professional driving of Senior Adults experience preferred
