Job Summary
Drive individuals with developmental disabilities to and from jobs, day programs, and community activities while ensuring safe vehicle operation and proper restraint of wheelchairs. Assist passengers with entering and exiting the vehicle, secure wheelchairs, and verify everyone is safely buckled up. Communicate any needs or concerns to the team to maintain a positive, respectful environment for every trip. This role requires a high school diploma, a strong driving record, and the ability to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and background check. Physical duties include lifting up to 50 pounds and assisting with pushing wheelchairs. Schedule is assigned by a supervisor and may vary based on client needs.
