Job Summary
Transport residents to and from appointments, doctors' offices, and emergency providers while operating facility vehicles. Perform miscellaneous errands including carrying mail to and from the post office. Ensure protected health information remains confidential and report resident complaints to the supervisor. Follow established safety policies and observe safety needs indicated in care plans. Maintain a current chauffeur's license, safe driving record, and assist residents with vehicle entry and exit. Attend scheduled in-service training, educational classes, and meetings. Requires a high school diploma or GED, current operator's license, and ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds over 50 feet.
Required Qualifications
- Maintains a current chauffeur's license as required by state law
- Safe driving record
- Ability to assist residents with into and out of the facility vehicle
- Current operator's license
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday
- Must be able to push, pull move and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet
- Must be able to push, pull, move and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to obtain a CPR certification
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous chauffeur's experience
