Job Summary
Coordinate and schedule all non-emergency resident transportation, processing requests from nursing staff, physicians, hospitals, and dialysis centers while maintaining daily schedules and adjusting for changes. Communicate route changes, delays, and special needs with drivers, verify appointment details prior to dispatch, and respond quickly to cancellations or emergencies. Maintain accurate records, logs, and scheduling reports to support billing and compliance, while collaborating with Nursing, Admissions, Social Services, and Therapy to ensure timely resident arrivals. Report incidents and service disruptions per facility policy, ensuring all resident confidentiality and HIPAA regulations are upheld.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Desired Qualifications
- Previous scheduling, dispatching, transportation coordination, healthcare, or administrative experience
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation center, hospital, or medical office
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and scheduling software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
