Job Summary
Oversee daily roadway rehab construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, timelines, and budgets. Serve as the project's point of contact, coordinating with owners, contractors, and stakeholders to progress work and resolve construction issues. Manage a team of field inspectors by assigning daily tasks and overseeing documentation processes. This full-time role is based in the Chicagoland area at an assigned field office. The successful candidate will work in varying weather conditions and must hold a Professional Engineer license in Illinois. Ardmore Roderick is a full-service infrastructure solutions firm specializing in Utilities, Transportation, Aviation, Rail, and Transit projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management
- Professional Engineer in Illinois
- 5-10 years of overall transportation/construction management work
- Minimum of 2 years of experience leading teams and roadway construction management projects as a licensed Resident Engineer
- Willingness to work in the different weather elements and conditions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Have a team player mindset with the ability to communicate proficiently in written and verbal forms
- Have good to great organizational skills
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree(s)
- CM certification
- PMP certification
- Experience managing projects for the Chicago Department of Transportation
