Transportation Project Manager/Estimator

Job Summary
Manage bridge and road construction projects from pre-construction to completion, overseeing estimating, cost analysis, and bid preparation. Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to develop accurate cost estimates and prepare take-offs, scopes of work, and bid packages. Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain quotes and analyze bid results for detailed proposals. Coordinate project activities including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control while ensuring documentation, contracts, and change orders are completed accurately. Monitor project progress to meet goals and develop new project leads. Requires a bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering with 3-5 years of experience in bridge and road construction estimation. Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software (Procore, Bluebeam). Office and field settings required with travel to job sites.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum education level of a bachelors degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field
- at least 3-5 years of experience in bridge and road construction estimation
- knowledgeable of project management principles
- Understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications
- Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs
- A high degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with Self-Performing or Specialty Contractor
- Proficient with Microsoft Software- Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Proficient in project management software (Procore, Bluebeam)
- To and from job sites is required
