Transportation Project Manager / Estimator

Job Summary
Estimate and manage bridge and road construction projects from start to finish, reviewing plans and specifications to develop accurate cost estimates. Analyze blueprints and drawings to calculate material, labor, and equipment costs, then prepare take-offs, scopes of work, and bid packages. Communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to obtain quotes, while monitoring project progress and coordinating scheduling, budgeting, and quality control. Ensure project documentation, including contracts and change orders, is completed accurately. Manage projects from pre-construction to completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget. Requires a bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering, 3-5 years of bridge/road estimation experience, and proficiency in Procore and Bluebeam.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum education level of a bachelors degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field
- At least 3-5 years of experience in bridge and road construction estimation
- Knowledgeable of project management principles
- Understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications
- Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs
- High degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with Self-Performing or Specialty Contractor
- Must have a bachelors degree, preferably in construction management
- Must have experience with department of transportation work, preferably in bridge repair work
- MUST HAVE. concrete experience in both estimation and project management
- Proficient with Microsoft Software- Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Proficient in project management software (Procore, Bluebeam)
- Must be able to travel to and from job sites
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in sales/marketing a plus
