Job Summary
The Transportation Project Engineer role involves responsibility for preparing and reviewing plans, technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates for transportation projects. The successful candidate will develop detailed designs of urban and rural roadways, manage small projects, and assist project managers with large projects. Key skills include collaboration with team members and stakeholders, proficiency in design software, and effective communication. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and have relevant project experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or higher
- Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to develop task deliverables in a complete and timely manner
- Experience working with Local and State public agency clients
Desired Qualifications
- Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain upon hire
- Project experience in transportation engineering design
- Proficient at using Microstation Open Roads Designer and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D design software
