Transportation Project Engineer

Job Summary
The Transportation Project Engineer will enhance transportation infrastructure through the preparation and review of plans, technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates for various transportation projects. Responsibilities include developing detailed designs of urban and rural roadways, collaborating with team members and stakeholders to define project requirements, and managing small projects while assisting project managers with larger projects. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, strong collaboration and communication skills, experience with public agency clients, and proficiency in ORD design software.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, or higher, is required
- Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment on challenging projects
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to develop task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner
- Experience working with Local and State public agency clients (Public Works, DOTs, etc.)
- Proficient with ORD design software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Kansas and/or Missouri Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain upon hire (preferred)
- Project experience in transportation engineering design (preferred)
