Job Summary
Lead marketing/business development activities for transportation engineering pursuits; develop and manage scopes of work, schedules, contracts, and design budgets for projects; lead the development of proposals and interviews for potential projects; work closely with technical staff including drafters, EITs, and project engineers; manage the planning, design, and implementation of infrastructure designs for transportation projects including local roadway jurisdictions and DOT projects; contribute as a key leader in the Transportation Services Group to grow market share, deliver successful projects, and mentor staff; require a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and Idaho PE license (or reciprocity within 6 months); 15+ years Transportation Engineering experience; 10+ years licensure as PE; strong client-facing abilities; project-delivery and business-development focus; teamwork, communication, and writing skills; salary range $130k-$165k annually; benefits include professional development, bonuses, paid time off, insurance, 401(k) with match, education reimbursement, and more.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- current Idaho PE license (or ability to obtain through reciprocity within 6 months)
- 15 years or more of Transportation Engineering experience
- 10+ years of licensure as a Professional Engineer
- History working on projects with local public agencies, ITD, ODOT, UDOT, WSDOT, CDOT is desired
- Strong client-facing abilities through in person meetings and online communication platforms
- Experience with business development through successful proposals, captures, and client relationships
- Ability to work in a team setting and to manage project deliverables
- Strong communication and writing skills
