Job Summary
Lead the Transportation Planning group in Charlotte by driving business development, managing client relationships with regional governments and private developers, and executing complex multimodal projects including transit feasibility and neighborhood studies. Mentor a high-performing team of engineers and planners while guiding technical delivery, ensuring quality assurance and adherence to project budgets. Develop new business initiatives, lead proposal development, and represent the firm at industry conferences. Requires 11-15+ years of experience in transportation planning, an AICP or PE license, and proficiency in multimodal planning and traffic impact studies. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Transportation Planning, Civil Engineering or related field
- 11-15+ years of progressive experience in transportation planning, transportation/traffic engineering or related field
- AICP or Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Demonstrated success in business development, including winning work with municipalities, DOTs, and private-sector clients
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel regionally as needed
