Job Summary

Develop, track, and refine system-wide transit service standards and performance metrics in coordination with the Operations Department. Analyze ridership data, demographics, and public feedback to identify service needs, while conducting field observations and preparing technical reports on socioeconomic variables. Assist in planning seasonal service adjustments, special event transportation, and the implementation of the agency's first Master Plan through multimodal research and studies. Manage performance databases, create GIS maps, and respond to internal and external requests for data analysis and service impact evaluations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Urban and/or Regional Planning, Transportation, Geography, Public Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in transportation planning, preferably within a public transit agency
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong understanding of public transit operations and planning principles
  • Ability to problem solve issues and reach consensus on collaborative solutions and alternatives
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, and to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Occasional travel to attend meetings, public hearings, and community events

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in the development and analysis of service standards
  • Experience with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS)
  • Confidence with public speaking to small and large groups
  • Proficiency in data analysis, including the use of statistical methods and software
