Job Summary
Assist with multimodal planning efforts including corridor studies, safety improvements, traffic modeling, and pedestrian and bicycle projects for local communities in the Puget Sound region. Analyze transportation operations using modeling software to support design teams and evaluate safety issues through crash data and best practices research. Contribute to marketing, scope development, field work, data collection, and the development of reports and presentations while collaborating with engineers, urban designers, and clients. Requires a Bachelor's degree in transportation or urban planning and 0-5 years of related experience. Hybrid schedule of 3 days in Seattle office and 2 days remote.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Transportation Planning, Urban Planning, or a related field
- 0-5 years of transportation planning, traffic engineering, transportation analysis, or related experience
- Strong technical writing, report development, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to balance multiple project commitments and deadlines
- Competency with Microsoft Office product suite, including Word and Excel
Desired Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Transportation Planning, Urban Planning, or a related field
- Experience with Synchro traffic operations modeling software
- Experience developing maps, graphics, and presentation materials that communicate technical concepts to clients and the public
