Job Summary
Transportation Planner role in Jacksonville, FL focused on optimizing driver and freight planning to meet customer expectations and profitability. Responsibilities include exceeding on-time service requirements, maintaining asset utilization, negotiating brokered loads, monitoring profitability metrics (deadhead, rate per mile, revenue per truck), ensuring compliance with HOS and DOT regulations, providing drivers with work/life balance, developing best practices for a high-performing team, building strong customer connections, and navigating multiple computer systems to support planning decisions. Requires a High School Diploma or GED; an Associate’s Degree in logistics/supply chain/transportation or related fields is preferred; 2-3 years of transportation experience is preferred; strong communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is a plus.
Required Qualifications

- Associate’s Degree in Logistics / Supply Chain / Transportation or Business related fields preferred
- 2-3 years of transportation experienced preferred
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work in a fast- paced team atmosphere
- Proficient in Microsoft products – Outlook, Excel, Word
- Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is a plus
