Job Summary
Mid-level Transportation Planner/Modeler to support data-driven planning and investment decision-making for multimodal transportation systems. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining traffic models (e.g., microsimulation, travel demand models) using TransCAD and Synchro; evaluating infrastructure or policy changes through scenario analysis; forecasting traffic volumes, congestion, and system performance; conducting traffic analysis for development and environmental CEQA projects; GIS analysis and mapping; benefit-cost analyses and grant writing; preparing technical reports and presentations; and communicating findings to technical and non-technical audiences while collaborating with planners, engineers, and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Urban & Regional Planning or related field
- 5+ years of transportation modeling experience
- Proficiency with TransCAD and Synchro
- Experience with GIS, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite
- 5+ years of AEC industry experience in Civil Engineering and/or Transportation Planning
- Residence in Southern California preferred
