Job Summary
Transportation Planner responsible for consolidating client orders into optimal load profiles, assigning carriers via TMS, planning and optimizing routing and schedules for multiple transport modes, and ensuring on-time pickups and deliveries. You will respond to client needs via email/calls/tracking, serve as the daily point of contact, present financial/service reports, lead client meetings and QBRs, onboard carriers, identify cost-saving opportunities (target >$20,000 per client/year), and collaborate with IT to improve TMS performance and automation. Requires experience with TMS, strong communication and cross-functional collaboration, and a track record of driving efficiency and savings in a logistics environment. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of related experience and/or training
- Minimum 1 year experience in customer service or coordinator role
- Experience with Transportation Management Systems
- Experience with optimization tools preferred
- PC literate with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Access and Excel
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask
