Job Summary
Transportation Planner to support daily transportation operations across a mixed fleet of company-owned assets and third-party providers. Responsibilities include planning and optimizing daily local and regional routes, maintaining load information and service times, scheduling activity with ETA/Hours of Service compliance, coordinating fleet resources, monitoring operations, and proactively addressing delays. Candidates should excel at customer service, cross-functional collaboration with commercial, transportation, and yard teams, and driving operational efficiency through data-driven planning, GPS tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in transportation, logistics, fleet operations, planning, dispatch, or production scheduling environments.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience with transportation management systems (TMS), GPS tracking platforms, or fleet management software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and operational reporting tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the flexibility to adapt in a dynamic environment.
